Among the components of the S&P BSE Consumer Durables index, Dixon Technologies (India) Ltd (down 1.65%), Havells India Ltd (down 1.58%),Titan Company Ltd (down 1.53%),Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail Ltd (down 1.14%),Voltas Ltd (down 1%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were V I P Industries Ltd (down 0.63%), Rajesh Exports Ltd (down 0.27%), and Whirlpool of India Ltd (down 0.24%).

On the other hand, Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd (up 2.94%), and Blue Star Ltd (up 0.77%) moved up.

At 13:44 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 417.74 or 0.63% at 65700.95.

The Nifty 50 index was down 145.7 points or 0.74% at 19570.75.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 9.7 points or 0.03% at 37486.41.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 70.95 points or 0.63% at 11201.43.

On BSE,1680 shares were trading in green, 1892 were trading in red and 159 were unchanged.
