Among the components of the S&P BSE Oil&Gas index, Reliance Industries Ltd (down 1.02%), Adani Total Gas Ltd (down 0.76%), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (down 0.75%), and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (down 0.13%), were the top losers.

On the other hand, GAIL (India) Ltd (up 0.91%), Gujarat Gas Ltd (up 0.45%), and Indraprastha Gas Ltd (up 0.36%) turned up.

At 13:47 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 94.55 or 0.16% at 57708.27.

The Nifty 50 index was up 51.3 points or 0.3% at 17003.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 291.58 points or 1.11% at 26450.61.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 79.31 points or 0.95% at 8431.23.
