Gold stays supported near $1888 an ounce mark on Wednesday as dollar retreats slightly from recent peaks. The dollar index eased after Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell failed to offer fresh signs, which led investors to believe the Fed is not likely to tighten more than what has been priced in by the market. The dollar index however stays above 103 mark. COMEX gold is currently quoting at $1888 an ounce, up 0.17% on the day.
